You have content. You know how to phrase it. Now, how do you structure it? Structure is the key for a smooth-flowing, and thus easier to grasp, learning system.
What knowledge do you want your audience to end up with? What do you think they will start out knowing? How do reconcile these two streams of thought? Once again, the trick here lies in empathy. Learners crave simplicity and coherence in a learning system, which means you will want to remain lineal throughout.
So split it up into chapters, footnotes, end notes, dice it, sauté it, grill it—just make sure your learning management system remains consistent to spare your learners confusion.
