Many people contend that the IQ test is an insufficient tool to gauge a person’s intelligence, and that the EQ test should be given more import. And it’s true: intelligence isn’t just contingent on math skills, for instance. A comprehensive, thorough learning system ought to realize this and incorporate innovation into its methodology. A recent study conducted by Loyola University and the University of Illinois evaluated over 233,000 students nationwide. The study revealed that students being exposed to this new learning system improved on favorable behavior patterns, e.g. discipline, attendance, and positive feelings about school. There was less antisocial and violent behavior, and fewer depressed and anxious students. The social-emotional learning system is said to produce better learners.
