Have you ever felt like someone is listening in on your phone call? Your paranoia may be justified. Two former military and NSA intercept operators recently reported to ABC News that the NSA is often listening in–and not just for national security reasons. Allegedly, NSA operators often intercept and circulate among themselves, just for fun, the especially salacious or juicy conversations of hundreds of U.S. citizens who are communicating by phone from overseas.
It makes you wonder, how private are conversations over VoIP providers? If you were using a provider for LMS communication purposes, would your information be safe? Confidential company data is often entrusted to the LMS it deploys. Organizations using an LMS are wise to look into the security and privacy of the VoIP providers they are using.
