Should Learning Content Authors Be Accessible? Pt. 1

Should Learning Content Authors Be Accessible? Pt. 1Should you make yourself, the learning content’s author, accessible to your audience? And how important is this, really?

Let’s say you have a blog, and that your posts are anonymous. Let’s say you write compelling learning content about an intriguing subject, and that one or more of your readers wants access to more of your learning content, and so decides to seek you out. If the author makes him or herself invisible, the learner may choose to Google the topic and find forums full of relevant information, offered by hundreds or thousands of users. Now, as long as the information is made to exist and available, does it matter who put it out there? What is the difference between appealing to the blog poster or to the forum users (assuming the validity of the material remains intact)?
