University Students’ Expectations of Teacher Use of an LMS, Pt. 3

Coggno Inc. | Sep, 16 2008

University Students' Expectations of Teacher Use of an LMS, Pt. 3Throughout, university students’ opinions regarding LMS use at their schools was very positive, especially in terms of its potential. Students were eager to adopt the usage of an LMS, even speaking out about wishing it was used more widely. Students also wished the system was used more consistently by their educators.

Learners expected their teachers to be able to utilize the LMS tools in an effective manner, follow appropriate instructional design principles, keep the information updated, and arrange for further communication and ways to interact. It is intriguing to see that these themes remain pervasive in university students’ opinions over time: opinions remain congruent with studies conducted between 2000 and 2006 by universities in Australia and the U.S.
